Dr. Aymen Elsheikh, STEAM Director
Aymen is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Liberal Arts Program at Texas A&M University at Qatar, where he teaches English language and education courses. He believes that success in the 21st century is largely dependent upon gaining and engaging with interdisciplinary knowledge. Therefore, engineering students at TAMUQ need to be aware of how the arts factor into and contribute to their success and creativity as future engineers.
Olena Snitko, Program Coordinator I
Olena is a Program Coordinator I in the Liberal Arts program. She is interested in translation, foreign languages, intercultural communication, and interdisciplinary studies. She enjoys working on STEAM projects because of their diversity and the opportunity to always learn something new. Olena thinks that STEAM’s approach to education is indispensable in the modern world since it allows young specialists to develop both technical and communicative skills that are so important for the workplace. Olena is determined to contribute to the success of STEAM projects and goals that the team aims to achieve.
Dr. Brittany Bounds, Instructional Assistant Professor of History
Brittany is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Liberal Arts Program at Texas A&M University at Qatar, where she teaches U.S. History. She believes the subject teaches valuable and applicable skills such as critical thinking and communication by analyzing the intersections of culture and politics. Engineers resonate better when they can analyze their context and communicate their findings effectively.
